Team and Candidates from the Men’s & Women’s 63 Cursillo Weekend held 5–7 October 2024 at Grafton Cathedral. There were 12 candidates and those who participated commented on the love and joy they experienced throughout the weekend.
Cursillo is a Spanish word meaning ‘little or short course’.
Cursillo is also a movement of the Church providing a method by which Christians are empowered to grow through prayer, study and action and enabled to share God’s love with everyone.
The first step of Cursillo is participation in a short course in Christian living which is usually 2-3 days in community.
Those who have experienced the short course (‘Cursillistas’) are encouraged in their daily relationship with Jesus Christ and in their discipleship (‘Fourth Day’) through regular meetings of encouragement with fellow travellers.
