The Anglican Diocese of Grafton has an exciting part time opportunity for an Executive Officer.
About you
We seek a motivated and collaborative individual with highly developed interpersonal, communication, analytical support, organisational and administrative skills. You will have a proven ability to proactively take ownership of complex issues and work with stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
You will need to enjoy a challenge, be passionate about making a difference, have a service mindset and be willing to work in a fast based environment with a small staff.
This opportunity would suit a person who possesses:
- relevant tertiary qualifications;
- demonstrated high level communication skills;
- strengths in logic especially for organising and analysing information;
- excellent time management skills including working to deadlines, prioritisation of work and always attending to detail;
- well developed relationship and engagement skills for a range of stakeholders;
- strong competency in Microsoft Office programs;
- a proactive, collaborative mindset and demonstrated capacity to work both independently and within a team environment; and
- support for the ethos of the Anglican Church.
Some after normal business hours work and travel is required to support Board and Committee meetings and occasional organisational events.
About us
The Anglican Diocese of Grafton extends from Tweed Heads in the North to Port Macquarie in the South. Led by the Bishop of Grafton, the Diocese consists of 25 ministry units, 5 Anglican schools, a preschool, Anglicare North Coast and a number of chaplaincies. This position is in the Bishop’s Registry (Grafton) although flexible arrangements are possible.

Administration Support Officer
The Anglican Diocese of Grafton is seeking a highly organised and proactive Administration Support Officer to join the Bishop’s Registry.
This part‑time position (0.4 FTE, with flexibility to negotiate additional hours for candidates with desirable skills) is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting a mission‑focused organisation with a wide span of ministries and services.
About the Role
The Administration Support Officer plays a vital role in supporting the efficient functioning of the Bishop’s Registry. Working closely with the Registrar/General Manager, Executive Officers, and administrative staff, you will provide high‑level administrative, organisational, and clerical support to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key responsibilities include managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, preparing documents, maintaining records and archives, supporting governance processes, and assisting internal and external stakeholders. This is a dynamic role suited to someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in accuracy, professionalism, and teamwork.
About You
We are seeking a motivated, detail‑focused and collaborative individual with the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy office environment. You will bring initiative, sound judgment, and a commitment to service excellence.
This opportunity would suit a person who possesses:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Experience in diary management, scheduling, data entry, and general office coordination
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Logical thinking skills with the ability to organise, analyse and work with information
- A high standard of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- A supportive attitude toward the ethos and values of the Anglican Church
Desirable (not essential):
- Experience in a charity or not‑for‑profit organisation
- Experience with archives, records management, or governance support
- Experience working with or within church‑based institutions
- Membership of the Anglican Church of Australia
Some occasional after‑hours work may be required to support meetings or events.
